Ares

God of: war, bloodshed
Parents: Zeus and Hera, who both hated him
Symbols: vulture
Other: even though he is the god of war, he is a coward. In various poems, he is said to run away when he is injured. He is not a distinct personality, mostly just a symbol of war.

Aphrodite

Goddess of: love, beauty
Parents: none; she was created from sea foam on the island of Cyprus
Appearance: the most lovely of all the Olympians
Symbols: myrtle tree, dove
Other: said in some tales to be the wife of Hephaestus and the mother of Eros

Hestia

Goddess of: the hearth, the home, peace
Parents: Cronus and Rhea
Symbols: the hearth
Other: gave up her Olympian throne to Dionysus. Every city in Greece had a hearth dedicated to her. When a new city was established, coals from another city's hearth were brought to the hearth in the new city. An offering was made to her at the beginning of every meal.
She is not often in myths, and has no recorded personality or features.

God of: light, truth, archery, healing, prophecies, music
Parents: Zeus and Leto, twin brother of Artemis

Other: sometimes known as "the most Greek of all the gods".
